I like Christmas because it is a good excuse for a Jewish individual like me to do absolutely nothing for a few days. Aside from by bunk ass Chinese food dinner I hat Thursday night, I accomplish little more than Chris Farley movies, wine and assorted sports in High Definition. I was kind of drunk Christmas eve and went outside at 4:00 AM or so to see if I could spot Santa in the sky. No luck.
Ian admitted to me today that he does not like magnets. That is kind of lame. Who doesn’t like magnets? They are so cool.
Alright, well the year 2004 is all but coming to an end. It was a good year I would have to say. On to 2005. We now must refer to everything Red Sox and all the wonderful things they did in 2004 as LAST YEAR. I am going into New York City tonight after work. Hopefully Jo-Anne will let me get out early so I can get one a good train and make it in on time. The plan for the evening is a club by the name of Fuelray. Unce, unce, unce – lets hope not. Its only $100 so I am happy. Better then the $275 option Aimi had going. Aimi, you rock, but I am not paying $275 just to sit at a table for the sake of sitting at a table.
My friend Michael got back from Japan. He was there for some time – well over a year. I took the opportunity to fill him in on all the pop culture stuff he missed out on and all the bullshit you don’t hear about when you are in the orient. Paris Hilton is kind of popular. Low Carb diets are popular. On the Asia note, I am really saddened by what has happened. I don’t think I have ever witnessed a natural disaster of this proportion in my lifetime, and I hope to never see one again. I know only like 6 people view this blog, but you should definitely step it up and go to amazon.com to donate money to the relief effort.
The new Treo 650s are here. I like them a lot, although I am seeing some problems with the data dropping while on Sprints bush-league CDMA network. The Cingular (Orange) unites should be in my February lets hope. Sticking with technology, I am back on the BitTorrent wagon. I used it at first when it was first released, but then took a hiatus from it. Maybe it was due to the lack of content that existed or the slow speeds. It is running at full gear right now I think. I also like how the dude that created it has Aspergers Syndrome. There is an interesting article here about the software, how it is developed and where P2P is heading in the future.
I was told not to make any arrangements to go anywhere the last week of January by my boss, but he did not specify why. Hopefully ill go to Winter X, but I am not sure. I could end up having to go to training in South Windsor, or hey, maybe I’ll have to work second shift that week. Should be interesting to see how it pans out.
I saw Napoleon Dynamite last night. Good times. The entire movie was just hilarious and out of this world. Everything that Pedro or Napoleon did was just plain awkward and enjoyable to watch. It kind of makes me glad that I did not grow up in Idaho.
I can not think of anything else. Some 2005 predictions: The Red Sox win the World Series again. Dick Chaney has a heart attack. Sirius and XM either merge with one another or one buys out the other. The population in Mexico City grows. A human is cloned. I get a promotion. Michael Moore is hospitalized. A major airline goes bankrupt. The Patriots beat the 49ers on Sunday.
Thank you.
