Music, Symbian and Vietnam

Ok, well the New Lily Allen CD is quite rad, you should check it out. She is very hot also. .. kind of like this mix of ska, hip hop and soul... does that make any sense? But I may just have a thing for British chicks, so that could be biased. My other picks for new music, if you need a good holiday gift: Basement Jaxx new CD titled 'Crazy Itch Radio'. I have also been listening to alot of Goldfrapp, Beck, M.I.A, CYHSY, Postal Service and Bob Dylan. The new CD by Yusuf (aka Cat Stevens) is worth checking out. Why not.

On to random phone/technology talk: I have been using the Nokia e61 smart phone for some time now, it was a move over the 650 I have been using for over two years. damn.... If you are in the USA and are not going to drop the $400+ on an unlocked e61, get the e62 issued by Cingular in the USA. The e62 does not have the 3G and WiFi support the e61 has, but it is a rock solid device. Symbian is worth getting into, here is a link to a good blog devotes to e-series and the E61.
Also, I think you can get the e62 for as low as $49 with a 2 year deal. I think the Treo 750 that come out sometime soon will be a big hit. Thats about it It is a tough sell on the enterprise level with Symbian when there is pressure to go Microsoft, but there are a tons of applications and development on the device to mess with.. fund to try something new I guess.

Slingbox, it look like is partnering with Symbian to embed their new software onto some new Ericsson units in the UK (on 3 I think). Lets hope that picks up some steam in the USA on Cingular with their new HSDPA network. has it launched in Hartford yet? I like all the new 3G handsets being released by Cingular these days... i saw some screen shot of someone getting 798 Kbps on a Samsung i607 on San Fran.. that would be great with Slingbox, because EVDO (non rev A) isnt that cool.

I am going to Vietnam on December 27th. I will be flying into HCMC via San Fran and Hong Kong and then traveling though the country with my aunt uncle and cousin (and a private tour guide)... we are working our way up to Hanoi. Then myself and my cousin Jeffrey are going to roll around for a few days until I fly back... maybe head up north to Sapa and cehck that out.. should be a good time. I have no idea who would read this blog and take any interest in my life, but if you have any info/insight/tips for Vietnam, let me know in the comments... I dont think my iPod will last the whole time on the flight. That sucks. HOWEVER (In your best Stephen A. Smith voice), some airlines have partnered with Apple for in flight iPod support. I back that.
